Creepy Conversation about Herpes

I am not sure who's creepier in this conversation about herpes -- the neighbor who listened and wrote the note, or the other neighbor who was so loud about such a sensitive subject.

My Support for Kony 2012

I just wanted to repost the #Kony2012 video to throw my support behind it as well. For those of you living on Mars for the past week or so, there has been a viral video -- a documentary -- circulating around the internet to try and bring Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony to justice for his crimes against humanity, which include the kidnapping of 30,000+ children.

Here is the original video:

Here is a meme about the video, featuring a character from Lord of the Rings:

Rap Show -- Girl Gets Dropped on Stage

Here is another story from Youtube. In this one, a rapper guy brings a girl up on stage for a rap concert, picks her up, and then promptly drops her. Enjoy.

Rap Show Dance Fail - Watch more Funny Videos

So,do I think that it's real? Eh. The drop seemed awfully controlled, if it was a real drop. From my perspective, the girl fell and landed in such a way that she had a low probability of being hurt.

Still, it's hard to tell sometimes.

REMIX - Too Late N00b - Viral Video

Well, you're too late noob! I found this cool video online.Pointless? Yes. But, the tune is super catchy.

Yeah, there is something satisfying yet very contrived about a grandma speaking in the gamer parlance. Overall, I would give this video a 3 out of 5 stars as far as viral videos go. It's good, just not great.

I still decided to post it.

The Best Song (Jon Lajoie)

This next song is really funny, but the guy is annoying. Man, I don't know whether laugh or bang my head into the wall.

So, is this song the "best song ever made in the world"? I am thinking that the answer is no. However, it was worth seeing once. I also think that it would be a decent tool to kill your cat, break glass, or drive your neighbor to suicide.

But, I guess opinions can vary.

Funny video:Firecracker Wake Up Prank

Pranky JokesI found this video the other day on Youtube that I thought was funny enough to post to the blog. It's a firecracker wake up prank, featuring some guy sleeping in a bed and another guy putting fire crackers in a garbage can.

To me, there are several things that jump out and say "fake" about this video. First the picture quality is way too good for a home movie camera to have taken the video, suggesting to me that it was a professional production. Second, if you check out the other videos on this user's channel, they seem to feature the same people as on this channel. Finally, I just don't know too many people that are asleep in the middle of the day like that who just happen to be at a friend's house and in the seemingly perfect position to pull a prank like that. So, in the end, I would have to conclude that the video is a fake.

Still, the video is very well done, and I don't feel cheated out of my time like I have with a lot of the videos that I've watched before on Youtube.

Leave a comment and tell me if you think the video is real or fake.

People Of Wal Mart

Do you ever go to a Walmart and think: where in the universe did these people come from? Well, you're not alone. Here is a cool video from Youtube, featuring the strange and disturbing people of Walmart.

I am not sure which of those people was my favorite. I could have been the guy wearing a hotdog hat, but I am sure some of the fat chicks could also take the cake (pun intended).

Viral Video: Screaming Mask Prank

Take a look at this fat guy getting pwned in his office by another guy sporting a mask. It's about as funny as they come!

So, I am thinking that the aftermath of this prank made for some pretty interesting talk around the water cooler the next day. I don't think that the fat guy from this viral video is going to live down this joke any time soon.

However, I have to say that I am not opposed to pranks like this one. If someone gets scared a little but nothing harmful or degrading is done to them, then I think it's all in good fun. I think though that pranks like inserting someone's toothbrush into your rectum and then having them brush their teeth with it or other similar disgusting jokes are a good way to make enemies in life.

BEST PRANK EVER: Bubba Gracie

This is an awesome prank from the people at the Gracie Martial Arts academy. I don't want to spoil the fun, so you'll just have to watch the video to see what happens.

That seems like something a bunch of bored martial arts students would do -- dress someone up as a dummy and then scare people that came in to take the dummy to practice.

I think that, however, the video was all in good fun. Also, the guy dresssed up in the dummy suit is lucky that he didn't get clobbered in the face. These are martial arts students that he is punking, after all. It seems like even the newbies in the group could have done something to make the guy regret the prank, especially with a dark mask like that over his face.

But, it's still a funny prank in any case, and I'm glad that they posted it online.

Kitty Cat Has Fun in a Box

Ah, the simple things in life :D I always enjoy videos where I watch animals play, such as this kitten that seems to find amusement playing and hiding in this cardboard box.

My favorite part of the video is at the end where the cat finally manages to squeeze him/herself into the box and go to sleep. If you grew up around cats at all, you'll appreciate why this video is so funny.

Viral Video: Stuck Overnight at Dallas-Ft Worth Airport

I found this cool viral video on Youtube the other day about two guys who were stuck overnight at the Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport waiting for a flight where they were all alone, except for the cleaning crew. To kill some time, they decided to make an awesome video of them racing around in wheel chairs, lying on the escalators, borrowing beer from a closed restaurant, and several other things people wish they could do but can't.

I really have to commend these guys for this video. The pranks that they were doing at the airport look awesomely fun. I just hope that they don't get into trouble for some of the things that they did during their stay.

Funny Music -- Tig Ol' Bitties

This is another video that I found recently where I just had to lol about it. This is a song called "Tig Ol' Bitties" from a group on Youtube from (read it a couple of times and you'll figure it out).

What I like about this movie is the catchy music, the funny animation, and the references back to middle school, when all us guys started to notice how cute the girls were for the first time. I can actually remember a few girls with Tig Ol' Bitties from my school, not sure if they did what the girl in the video does though.

Nowadays, it's not too hard to get Tiggies like those -- you just have to pay someone a few thousand dollars and take a couple of weeks off work.

Funny Commercial -- The "Devil"

A friend of mine sent me a link to this viral video commercial the other day, and I thought that I would share it with my readers. Here is a funny video of a house that's been seemingly taken over by "the devil", with people praying, a Catholic priest, and a girl floating on the ceiling. So, is the girl really in the midst of a demonic possession, or is all not as it seems?

Dirt Devil-The Exorcist from MrPrice2U on Vimeo.

Spoiler Alert: (if you don't want to find out the secret, watch the video before scrolling down).

Okay, so I had to admit that I had no idea that the "devil" in question in the video was actually the "Dirt Devil" vacuum cleaner. I would have never guessed that the girl was actually getting suctioned to the ceiling of her bedroom because of a vacuum, lol.

So, if you guessed that (and I have no idea how you did) you're apparently smarter than I am. Still, you have to admit that the video is very funny, no?

Dirt Devil BD10045RED AccuCharge 15.6 Volt Hand Vac with ENERGY STAR Battery Charger, RedI actually like it when commercials and advertisements like this one spoof popular movies like The Exorcist (which is obviously the movie which is being spoofed here). It's advertising, to be sure, but it's a much less obnoxious form of advertising than, say, a full page banner ad across some website that kicks you to another website when you try and close it. Viral commercial videos like this one make me laugh and maybe, just maybe, make me want to buy the product in question.

Well, I hope that you enjoyed the video.

Cool Science: Blinky the Surgeonator's 5th Birthday

I found this cool video of a robot surgeon the other day that I wanted to share with my faithful readers. Here, we have "Blinky the Surgeonator" -- a robotic surgeon's assistant at Seattle Children's Hospital, in a video where Blinky celebrates its fifth birthday with other robots in the hospital. It might be kitschy, but it's definitely worth seeing.

Amateur movie making techniques aside, what impresses me about this video is just the advancement that has taken place in technology, particularly medical technology, in the past 10 years or so. It's amazing to me that we are now increasing relying on robots to assist us in surgeries too long, difficult, or delicate for human hands to do. I just wonder how long it will be before the robots take over most surgical duties completely. 50 years maybe? Maybe less?

Also, if you have the time, you should check out the Youtube page for the Seattle Children's Hospital. I am sure that they can use all of the support -- possibly via the Youtube Partners program -- that you can give them. Thanks.

T-Mobile -- Angry Birds Live!

If you haven't seen the latest viral video from the T-Mobile advertising crew, check out this cool take on the popular video game "Angry Bird" where, instead of playing it on a computer, people are playing it using a live action setup -- including a real sling shot, Styrofoam blocks, and inflated exploding pigs.

I haven't really gotten into the game Angry Birds all that much, but I do know a few other people who love the game. I can't play it on my cell phone anyway because my phone is stuck back in the Dark Ages of technology -- from 2009 to be precise (and an earlier generation when I bought it). So, poor me.

But, I do have to give T-Mobile a lot of credit for videos like this one. They seem to have a good grasp on the pop culture pulse in America. A lot of their videos go viral, and all of them seem to be pretty well made (like they devote a lot of money to the effort). I think that the strategy will pay off for them in the long run because advertising like that found in the Angry Birds video is the wave of the future, or at least so I think.

Mockumentary: Bike Lanes -- New York City

In this clip, an amateur "mockumentary" (fake documentary) film maker in New York, Casey Neistat, decided to make a funny video about how the bike lanes in the city were constantly blocked by obstructions after Casey got a ticket for NOT riding his bike in a bike lane.

I think that perhaps the funniest part of all this to me is where Casey Neistat points out at the end that it's NOT EVEN ILLEGAL to ride a bike outside of a bike lane in New York City. I think this is a perfect example of a dumb police officer trying to fill a ticket quota instead of checking up on the laws of his or her jurisdiction. Seriously, with all of the rapes, murders, and robberies in the world, I would think that cops could find something more productive to do with their time than to persecute hapless bike riders.

Funny Video -- StarCraft Geeks Pick Up Girls - Get Her Number!

I found this awesomely funny video of a group of Starcraft 2 geeks trying to pick up on girls at a local college using ONLY lines from the game Starcraft 2. If you haven't seen this video yet, you have to check out how these well meaning but geeky guys fumble through hitting on girls using words like "Baneling" and "OP" (short for "overpowered").

Cool Science: HUGE explosion on the Sun on June 7, 2011

Check out these two videos of a gigantic explosion on the surface of the sun, recorded June 7, 2011. It was the largest explosion or solar flare ever recorded on the surface of the sun, covering nearly 1/2 of the sun's surface and lasting several hours.

For those of you that don't see how that's impressive, consider the following. The sun, by volume, is over one million times larger than the earth. So, to say that a solar flare covered half of the surface of the sun is to say that it was a large and powerful discharge of energy far beyond anything we can understand intuitively from our daily lives -- far bigger than the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs combined.

The first video is taken directly from raw data at the website Helioviewer.org. Once you keep in mind the scales we're talking about here, the explosion is very impressive.

The second video is taken from raw data from the same site but with some commentary from a scientist.

To me, the amazing thing is that something that powerful HASN'T and DOESN'T destroy all of us but instead allows life to exist on the planet.

PLANKING!!!!! (parody) -- Video and Commentary

The girls from the ijustine who made this Youtube parody video satirizing the popular phenomenon of planking, where people take pictures of themselves laying in weird, often public places with their arms straight against their sides. Sound weird?

Well, it's the newest internet craze (with thousands posting pictures of planking on Facebook and other social media websites). Watch here as these hot girls make a mockery of the internet phenomenon known as planking.

All I can say after watching this video is that the one girl is really hot (and the other isn't bad). I would "plank" her in a heartbeat.

If you liked this video by them, they have a few more funny videos that I plan to post with commentary, including one about internet dating.

Give me some feedback on what you think of planking: cool, dangerous, or overrated?

Grandma Got a Facebook

This parody song, courtesy of Youtube's Most Watched Videos (i.e. viral) video list is funny but a little disturbing. This just goes to show you what happens when you let old people near a computer! Moral: people over 50 should be reading the newspaper, not Facebook pages.

The funniest thing about this video is that I can totally see a lonely grandma getting on the computer and hitting on her teenage son's friends. If she can land one, I say: you go granny! After all, you only live once; and what better way to enjoy your golden years than by sucking on (no pun intended) a piece of young hard candy once in a while.

Grandma power :)
