The Logic of Cartoons

The logic of cartoons?! Well, the summary is that cartoons have no logic. From taking showers under water (Sponge Bob) to being naked except at the beach (Tom and Jerry) to locking young girls in your castle and that being romantic (Beauty and the Beast), cartoons just don't make sense at a certain level.

Anne Frank -- Journal Entry from Mormon Heaven

I found this cool cartoon animation that I wanted to link to in a blog post. It's about Anne Frank and her acceptance into Mormon heaven after she was "baptized" into the Mormon church by proxy.

Sexual Experimentation; The "Turducken" Experiment

I found this funny but somewhat disturbing cartoon online the other day. It's an "experiment" (probably sexual) between a turkey, duck, and chicken to make a "turducken".

Funny Thanksgiving Cartoon: Stuffing Turkey with Prozac

I just wanted to share this little gem of a cartoon that I found earlier today. Here, we have a mom that has finally found the solution to family peace during Thanksgiving: stuffing the turkey with Prozac.

Simon's Cat in 'Hidden Treasure'

This video is a cute animation courtesy of the simonscat channel on Youtube featuring a bachelor and his cat. Watch what happens as the man throws a ball for the cat to chase under the refrigerator.



I have to say that, although the animation is a bit primitive, it works for the video. I see this as an improvement on other cartoons, like Garfield, that also play off the theme of someone interacting with their pets.

I also checked out some of the other videos on the same Youtube channel while I was there, and they're all quite funny as well. Considering that the artist's Youtube channel has well over 100 million hits, I am guessing that the secret is already out. Still, it's nice to find another quality channel on Youtube for entertaining videos, even if I am the last one to find out about it.

I am also guessing that, with over 100 million channel views, the author has been well rewarded for his efforts. I think that the Youtube partners program, from what I've heard, averages something like two dollars per thousand views, so this guy should be making a healthy living off his animation.

Cool Animation -- Baaa

Check out the cool animation on this cartoon, made with Adobe software. The things that this guy managed to do with a simple image of a sheep are just amazing.




For some reason, the animals splitting off from and coming out of the mouth of the other sheep reminds me of something that I would see in the movie Aliens. It's cool yet disturbing at the same time.

Whoever did this short has a lot of talent. I will anticipate seeing great things from them in the months ahead.
