My Defense of Madonna's "Obama-Muslim" Comment
There have been a lot of defenses offered of singer Madonna's comment about Barack Obama being a "black Muslim" during a recent stage performance. Let me offer the most obvious defense of Madonna possible: Madonna is a dumb ass.
That's it. That's all I need to say. It's like a child who calls Jesus Christ "Cheese and Rice" during Sunday services. There is no need to condemn the child. The child is simply ignorant of the world around him or her. Similarly, Madonna is just an ignoramus. She's a washed-out pop singer who was hot 50 years ago but now needs to retire and move into an old folks home.
Madonna isn't important. Madonna isn't relevant. There is no need to condemn her for her comments because she isn't worth the effort of condemnation.

Teaching a Man to Fish?
I'm sure that many of you have heard the old proverb: "Give a man to fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime". However, the reality of food poverty in the world is not quite this simple, as the following video explains.
Similar to what the video says about farming, it's pretty hard to fish if you're too hungry to work during the day. I think this is what the rich Republicans in my own country need to remember -- that most of the world's poor would like to work and make enough to feed their families, but they often lack the physical means.
On a related note, here is another video from the World Food Program (WFP) about the poor in Liberia.

A bad lip reading of Twilight
Most of the time when I see something funny, I smile a little. Occasionally, I will chuckle. Very rarely, I will be in stitches. This video is an example of when the latter happens.

Demi Lovato vs. X-Factor Contestant -- "That's why you use autotune"
Every so often, contestants on a game show will hit the nail exactly on the head when it comes to the way that the world works. Such was the case with this contestant when he fought back against Demi Lovato on the X-Factor.
After being criticized by the judges about his singing, this male contestant shot back that he had worked too hard to be criticized by the judges. When Demi Lovato tries to fight back, hilarity ensues.
Probably the worst part of it was when Britney Spears tried to chime in and say, "I don't even know who let you onto stage." Well Britney, I guess it was probably geniuses from the same mold that made you a star, auto-tune and shameless use of sexuality included. I don't think you sing any better than this guy. You just have better legs.
